1:1 Learning

This 2013-2014 school year is the second year of a 1:1 laptop program at ACS. This program was started because ACS...
"consider[ed] it necessary as we prepare our students for the 21st century world where technology will continue to be a big part of their daily lives."

As we progress through the school year, we will periodically post research and articles of interest relating to 1:1 and 21st century learning skills in order to share information and understanding about programs at ACS.

It is important students have good battery life in their laptops to ensure accessibility to their work throughout the school day. There are designated times and locations for students to charge their batteries. Students are not allowed to charge their batteries while using their laptops during class time. It is expected students will come to school with their laptops fully charged from the beginning of each day.

ACS does have an onsite help desk when students have technical difficulties with their laptops. The help desk is designed to help with difficulties that do not require full computer repairs, however.
